The Dry, Dry, Look of Autum

Wild Garlic

In the drought, even fall has a new look.

The anise flower closes up on itself to make a cup.

Inside the Anise Cup are lots of tiny seeds.

Summer's mint is gone away.

The corn is eaten and stalks remain.

The rose has lost its beauty.

The wood is cut for winter warmth.

  1. It's kinda sad to see everything all brown and shriveled up, isn't it? Sigh. I guess winter is coming.

  2. It is. Because I live in Southern California not everything is brown. Because of the drought, more things are brown than usual.
